Well id hate to beat a dead horse but I tell ya. I’m gonna get my stick.... This is in my stock turbo / stock boost control system 93 300zx factory TT. The car has a low 35,700 miles on it. Ive searched a bit around with a little help but nothing concrete. Originally had code 53. Replaced the pass side 02 sensor. Backstory: this car ran on 5cyls (injector 1 was dead... replaced all 6 and its back on 6cyls) Now car has code 55. Runs well and idles nice when warmed up. The car wont boost past 6-7psi (second tick on oem boost gauge) I have a aftermarket gauge on order for this weekend to verify that the boost im showing is actually accurate. The car feels sluggish on acceleration. It almost feels like a clogged catalytic convertor to me... like the exhaust backpressure is overpowering and the turbos are restricted/ not breathing properly. Then again Im not used to a stock Z (other Z is 500whp) I have already performed a boost leak test with no leaks detected. The air box is OEM and the filters are brand new. I just did Timing belt / 120k kit replaced a week ago. The timing was set to 15degrees when engine warmed up at idle with timing light and inductive pickup. Spark plugs are new 6b11b’s gapped to .44 stock setting. Not sure where to go next from here so figured Id throw up a thread.
